Les Miserables sketch: Eponine by Nyranor Les Miserables sketch: Eponine by Nyranor
A very scribbly sketch of Éponine Thénardier from Victor Hugo's Les Misérables. She looks unhealthy and demented because this is book!Éponine, not musical!'Ponine.

Inspired by the scene (Volume IV book II, I believe) where she waters M. Mabeuf's garden.

Her watering can that looks exactly like the one I had as a kid - only the picture of flower on its side is missing. ;) Happy childhood memories aside though, poor girl!

Cool! This is the messiest watering can I think I've ever drawn... ;p Yep, 'Ponine didn't have much luck in life...

(3 of 4! Just posted this in the meantime because it was already scanned!)

Whenever I try to do something in order - like The Hero - I always end up submitting three unrelated things in between of every page, so I understand! :D

The hardest bit at this point is resisting just sketching on blank paper like usual X3 "No, bad Ny! Finish comic now, doodle later!" ^^;

Well, she wasn't a very lucky girl. Although, this drawing is a bit different from how she actually acted in this scene (happily psychotic rather than despondent) it was meant to be more a portrayal of her in general, just with the watering can as a bonus.
