AST Les Miserablesby ~Nyranor

A new tribute to the final season of the excellent Finnish/Swedish production of Les Misérables by the Åbo Svenska Teater (Turku Swedish Theater), which was introduced to me by *Starlene.

The primary cast list as far as I know:

Valjean = Alexander Lycke
Javert = Sören Lillkung
Fantine = Thérèse Karlsson
Enjolras = Rune Sæter
Marius = Tomi Metsäketo
Cosette = Mikaela Tidemark
Éponine = Josefine Isaksson
Grantaire = Tore Norrby
Gavroche = Ville Huhtala
Ensemble (we think...) = Anton Häggblom, Viktor Hansson, Rasmus Mononen

As a part of fandom of ÅST's Les Mis I must comment this (and *Starlene forced me a bit. She thinks it's shame that we don't know each other). Well I'm not sure if Starlene has ever mentioned me but I'm the 1/3 of our little fandom.

And I was that who noticed that Rune had this picture in his Facebook.

About the picture: I absolutely love it. I can't find a weak spot on it. I love the shading and the expressions on the faces of characters. All the details are amazing. And I love how you made everyone look like their actors. Especially Javert and Fantine are awesome!

Thank you! ^_^ I spent quite a bit of time with every reference photo I could find trying to get the likenesses correct, I'm glad it paid off!

Javert in particular was a challenge. I actually gave up and redrew his head and shoulders on another page and spliced the two together in Photoshop.

I'm glad I made your day. I was almost shocked when I noticed that (actually I was looking for a great reference picture of Rune's face back then). I was just so happy for our little fandom.

I think it was worth it that you redrew Javert's head and shoulders. They look awesome! I wish my works for the cast would be as good as this but well, no can do.

I've been using many reference pictures of ÅST lately. I'm glad that *Starlene is always there to help me if I need to know something about the show. I'm actually almost scared that I won't like the show when I get to see it on 19th. Well, I need to trust that the show won't dissapoint me. And I'm glad to hear you're coming to Finland in winter!

We are a very bif stalker family as we have four fans in our family (if the newest one is including).

I'm kind I don't steal photos from his Facebook. I just use them as a reference. When I was drawing his face for the last present I'll give to him I used hours on his Facebook to get his eyelashes right.)

Thank you. Let's not talk about the Cosette dress. The memory of making it is awful... I will NEVER draw that dress again. NEVER.

I have reached every picture and video of these guys. And it's not enough. Cannot wait for Saturday and seeing the guys live.
I will bring back stories for you (and everyone who is intereted to hear. And also for them who don't want to listen to stories!).
I'm sure it must feel crazy to do something like that. I would never do that (okay never say never).
